Performs applicant information searches in various confidential criminal databases. Main duties include, but are not limited to, answering a high-call volume multi-line telephone, filing, open and sort mail, and preparing letters of response to applicants and their representatives. Performs additional clerical functions as needed.


+ Responds to letter correspondence regarding inquiries for all types of clemency from applicants and interested parties.

+ Criminal databases. Perform applicant information searches in various confidential databases.

+ Provides callers with information pertaining to clemency.

+ May be asked to participate in in-house staff review of policy and procedures affecting your particular job tasks and contribute to revisions for a more efficient work environment.

+ Assist Coordinator and staff as needed.


+ Work efficiently in an often times demanding, high-profile environment; must exhibit exceptional coping skills and emotional maturity.

+ Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

+ Knowledge of grammar usage and general office procedures.

+ Ability to prepare and maintain confidential information.
